6th July 2018 – In its effort to cultivate the occupational safety and health (OSH) culture, Occupational Safety and Health Management Office (OSHMO) to organize Appreciation Ceremony on Safety & Health Management 2018. The program, which was the second of its kind, was held to appreciate the safety & health coordinator at PTJ for safety programs they being implemented at the workplace.

Kuantan, 17 April 2018 – In its effort to cultivate the occupational safety and health (OSH) culture, Occupational Safety and Health Management Office (OSHMO) Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) collaborated with Sekolah Sri Al Amin, Kuantan to organize the OSH in School Program 2018. The program, which was the second of its kind, was held to establish cooperation between university, industry and school to enable the sharing of knowledge on awareness of aspects of occupational safety and health within the school environment.

On 10 April 2018, OSHMO organized a professional talk on ergonomics held at Banquet Canseleri Tun Razak. The course was conducted specially for Executive at each responsibility centre or pusat tanggungjawab (PTJ) to give some awareness about ergonomics risk factor in office. Talk was given by Dr Ezrin Hani form Fakulty of Technology.

On 5 April 2018, OSHMO organized Emergency Response Plan Course held at Tun Teja Training Room. The course was conducted specially for ERT members at each responsibility centre or pusat tanggungjawab (PTJ) to enhance their skills in managing emergency team.

Occupational Safety & Health Management Office (OSHMO) visits to Universiti Putra Malaysia for benchmarking to see how waste management is carried out in UPM. In addition, OSHMO congratulated UPM for getting the 27th place in the World Overal Ranking 2017 UI GreenMetric World University. Corporate Strategy & Communications Office is responsible for moving all activities within UPM. The meeting was chaired by Encik Abdullah Bin Arshad as Deputy Director of Corporate Strategy & Communications Office.

On 21 February 2018, OSHMO organized a course for Safety Committee held at UMP Gambang Campus Training Room. A total of 40 UMP members of staff appointed as OSH coordinators at their respective responsibility centres or pusat tanggungjawab (PTJs) attended the course. It is hoped that such course would be able to help PTJ OSH coordinators in managing OSH issues at their respective PTJs successfully.

Audit on Ekosistem Kondusif Sektor Awam also known as EKSA was conducted on 6 March 2018. Mrs Nor Ashikin Binti Dolmat & Mr. Abd Razak Bin Hamid as the appraiser for the EKSA Audit 2018.

February 28, 2018. OSHMO successfully organized an "Ergonomics Manual Handling" course devoted to staff exposed to hazardous risks. The best approach is to provide the proper exposure and method to reduce the risk rate. Dr Ezrin Hani Binti Sukadarin as a university lecturer & specialist in Ergonomics has been invited as a speaker. The response & cooperation provided by the participants is very satisfying. OSHMO Director Mr Muhammad Hairynizam Bin Muhd ​​Taib also attended the course.

VC Walkabout Series 2/2017 was successfully held on 15 September 2017 held in Faculty Of  Civil Engineering & Earth Resources (FKASA). The event was led by the Vice-Chancellor of UMP, Professor Dato' Dr. Daing Mohd Nasir Bin Daing Ibrahim who was accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Prof. Dato' Dr. Yuserrie Bin Zainuddin. Also present were the Registrar of UMP Mr Abd Hamid Bin Majid, the Bursar of UMP Mr Zainudin Bin Othman, the Dean of the Faculty Of  Civil Engineering & Earth Resources, Dr. Mohamad Idris Bin Ali, the Director of the Department of Property Management & Development, Mr Marzuki Bin Mokhtar and the Director of OSHMO UMP Mr Muhammad Hairynizam Bin Muhd Taib.
