The High Risk Equipment Inspection took place from May to October 2021 involving the entire laboratory at UMP. The objective of the inspection is to inspect and evaluate the safety level of the existing equipment in the UMP laboratory.

Among the aspects involved is checking all equipment in UMP that has the potential to cause injury especially equipment that is old or does not have safety features. The equipment is advised to be upgraded with appropriate and up-to-date safety features and have appropriate engineering controls to prevent any accidents due to the negligence of its users. If it cannot be improved, the equipment is recommended to be replaced with new equipment equipped with appropriate and up-to-date safety features.
